What metals do you use in your jewelry?

Some handmade pieces also feature raw brass components. Brass is a beautiful, long-lasting metal, but unlike our non-tarnish metals, it can naturally oxidize over time and may require occasional cleaning to restore its shine.

Is NIA ASÉ jewelry hypoallergenic?

Many of our jewelry pieces are made using hypoallergenic metals, such as stainless steel, 14K gold-filled, and sterling silver components, making them a great option for many people with sensitive skin. Because individual sensitivities can vary, we recommend reviewing the materials listed on each product page before purchasing.

Does your jewelry tarnish?

We intentionally use non-tarnish and tarnish-resistant metals whenever possible. Stainless steel, 14K gold-filled, and sterling silver components are selected for their durability and ability to maintain their beauty with proper care.

Raw brass components can naturally darken or develop a patina over time. This is a normal characteristic of brass and does not mean your jewelry is damaged. A quick cleaning can help restore its original shine.

Can I clean my NIA ASÉ jewelry?

Yes. For stainless steel and other non-tarnish pieces, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, use a small amount of mild soap with warm water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.

For raw brass jewelry or brass components, you can use a brass polishing cloth or gently clean the metal with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda. Apply with a soft cloth, gently polish the brass, rinse carefully, and dry thoroughly.

For jewelry containing natural gemstones, shells, or delicate components, avoid soaking the entire piece or using harsh chemical cleaners.

Are your gemstones real?

Yes. NIA ASÉ uses natural gemstones in our gemstone jewelry. Because these stones come from nature, variations in color, markings, shape, texture, and pattern are expected. These natural differences are part of what makes each piece unique.

Are the shells used in your jewelry real?

Yes. When shells are featured in our designs, we use natural shells. Their individual variations make every piece slightly different and add to the organic, earthy character of our handmade jewelry.

Is your clothing sustainable?

Why is most of your clothing one size?

Our focus on one-size and flexible-fit clothing is intentional. Choosing versatile silhouettes allows us to carry fewer size-specific garments, helping us minimize excess inventory and reduce potential textile waste.

Our one-size styles are selected for their relaxed, flowing, and adaptable fits. Graphic T-shirts are the exception and are offered in individual sizes. Please review each product description for specific measurements and fit information before ordering.

Are your silk kimonos really made from recycled silk?

Yes. Our 100% silk kimonos are created from recycled silk saris, giving beautiful existing textiles a new life rather than allowing them to go to waste.

Because they are made from repurposed silk, each kimono is unique. Colors, patterns, and design placement can vary, which means your piece has its own individual character.

Why do you make oil-based perfumes instead of traditional alcohol-based perfumes?

Our oil-based perfumes offer a more intimate fragrance experience. Instead of creating a large cloud of fragrance, the scent sits closer to the skin and develops naturally with your body chemistry.
